The GCSE Paper 1 masterclasses are designed to help prepare students that are taking their GCSE exams this summer. All the masterclasses are guaranteed to build confidence and improve a student’s grade.

What is the structure of each masterclass?
The masterclasses will cover the Paper 1 content for all three science subjects. They will include tips and advice for a successful Paper 1 exam as well as allowing students to practise their exam technique by going through a range of different past paper exam questions. Students will also be given various revision methods they can use when revising on their own.
For each science subject there is a 3 hour session (with a 10 minute break). These sessions are interactive and provide students with an opportunity to ask questions. Any tasks completed in the session can be marked if required and feedback given so students know the areas they need to concentrate on in their independent revision. There is also an opportunity to have a Paper 1 set and marked if a student would like further feedback and a current grade.
After the masterclass, parents will be sent a list of next steps so students are aware of what they need to concentrate on before their exam.
Students are provided with access to the masterclass’s Google Classroom, which has the Google Meet link as well as the course resources and content videos.
Who will run the sessions?
All sessions are run by an experienced, qualified science teacher and examiner.

Please note
Students will join the call with their camera and microphone turned off. They can use their microphone or the chat function to answer/ask questions. Feedback to any answers given during the session will be sent afterwards as well as areas each student might want to focus on during independent revision. Students are welcome to send their answers after the session for marking and feedback if they prefer.
